Misquito Buzz
I don't know if you've heard about it, but there is this sound at a certain frequency that adults can't hear, but teens can. I found the file. My dad doesn't hear a thing. Here it is:
Misquito Buzz.
Enjoy.

Today, in Creative Writing, we were asked for words that came to mind when we heard 'beach.' The class eagerly brainstormed words that the teacher's assistant wrote on the board. Once the board was filled, we were asked to write a discriptive journal entry about the beach... Ahem... Without using any of the words on the board. Here's what I came up with:
The mist blew over my face. I could feel the tiny stings of perspiration over my body. I glance across the vast sea. My mind is at peace as the pinkish colors begin to climax. Our guiding star is fading slowly over the horizon. It moves over the Atlantic to a new hemisphere, a different world. I can still see the whole sphere in the sky as I lie there, basking in its fading warmth. A light flow of air blows across my face, and heads out to the vast sea. The pinks and the oranges begin to fade now. There is no longer a full circle in the sky. I hear another crash, and the mist quenches my parched skin. I notice how the sea's level was considerably higher than when I arrived. To my right, I see three couples. To my left, I see two families, and all are completely absorbed in watching the scene. Even the children stop harrassing the white-winged pickpockets to see the natural colors fade to another place.
The sky became dark, but I could still hear the crash. I could still feel the mist, but the show was over. We were left with an erie darkness. The abyss up ahead was overwhelming. I stared into it for awhile, and then made my way back to the cottage on the hill.

Two days ago, I started the journey. I hopped in my car, and headed down to the Levee. Once there, I parked, got out of my car, and then finally made my way into Borders.
I started to look at the newest deals on the Popular Fiction table. I realized that I had a mission, so I went on my search for the Foreign Language section. I headed back towards the 'Literature' section, first. I didn't see anything that had to do with any language other than our own there. I spin around. An employee is standing at a music sampling station and blasting music really loud. I figured he was bored and had too much free time on his hands, so I decided to ask him where the foreign language section of the store was. After pointing the way, I headed down there.
I began scanning the shelves for the French books. Once I found them, I looked for the French-English dictionaries. I spot them.
Wait a second. What is the title of the French Dictionary I was supposed to get? Shit. I left that paper with the title on it at home. Goddamnit. I think that it had a name in it or something. Hmmm, not Mariam Webster... Ah! Maybe this is it. Harper Collins.
I grabbed the Harper Collins version of the dictionary, checked out and left the store. I arrive back at home, open my notebook to do the French, and realize that I had gotten the wrong dictionary. It is supposed to be the Bantam New College French-English dictionary. Damn, mother fucker. I was happy I still had the receipt.
Now let's leap forward to today. I convince my dad to take me to Borders (so I don't have to use my gas), and we return my book. I head back down to the Foreign Language section only to find a girl in my French class picking up the last copy of the Bantam New College French-English dictionary.
Shit, mother fucking, cock-sucking, bastard.
So, I go back to my dad and sister, and we leave Borders with haste. I figured Barnes & Noble would have at elast one copy of this dictionary, so that's where we headed next.
Barnes & Noble was quite crowded, considering Purdue is starting this Monday. I weave through the crowd to the back of the store where the Foreign Language section is. My eyes moved back and forth, reading the titles. My mouth changed from it's usual smirk to pure disgust when I found that Barnes & Noble didn't have the book in stock, either.
We hop back into the car, and head to the mall across the street. I run into Walden Books, and have no luck there, either.
This is not my day.
My dad gets an idea, "Let's go to University Bookstore."
We go back to the other side of town that we just had come from.
Campus is a mess. So many people. I get dizzy.
My uncle is a part owner of University Bookstore, so I figure we might get a discount on the book.
Bonus.
We weave through an even denser crowd than before, and arrive at the text book section of the store. As I move down a staircase, I see the French-English dictionaries all lined up. I got excited, and started to read all of the titles. My heart lept. There it is.
I snatch two copies, one for Ryo, and one for myself. Two copies remain.
We run into my uncle, and he says that he'll give us two dollars off both of the books. Oh happy day!

Hello, my long lost love.
I feel terribly sorry that I have not written in you for such a long time. It makes me sad.
Okay, so in the time I have been away, what's happened. Everything. First of all, you turned one year old! Yipee, this is such a nice accomplishment.
Then, three days ago, school started. It's such a drag. I feel the pressure already bearing down on my shoulders. I would have to say the class that I am most eager about is Creative Writing. The teacher is freaking awesome.
Then, I got to go to an anime convention with my cousin and best friend. It was pretty pimpin'. I think I am going to hang out with that cousin, Molly, tomorrow. It should be a good time. The convention was great. I got tons of free stuff, and all of these neat posters that are hanging on my wall.
I feel a bit depressed right now, but it is such a petty reason, that I am already starting to feel like I am over it. I am so lame. I wish that I didn't care about things like this, but I can't help it. This sorta hurt my feelings. Oh well, I move ahead.
Oh yes! I am also taking computer programming with the completely awesome Mrs. Lasley. It's is such a blast. Well, all we have really done this far is learn about the history of computers and stuff. I have to admit, though, it's still extrememly interesting. I must be like overly enthusiastic about this class or something.
The dating situation... it isn't going to great. I keep wanting to meet new people, but I mean, who is there? Seriously. This is too hard. Boo. That's all I have to say there... except for this crush... I won't go into that. It's probably a big disaster waiting to occur.
So, yeah, that's the scoop, and I feel horrendous about this whole broken laptop deal. I am thinking that it is getting closer to being fixed.
I'll post back as soon as I can.
